Mew Zakuro is a part of the La Nouvelle Monet x Tokyo Mew Mew collection. This collection is a homage to my favorite childhood anime, Tokyo Mew Mew.
The show was centered on five girls from various backgrounds brought together through one purpose: to save the world from parasite aliens. Each girl was injected with the DNA of an endangered animal species in order to gain specific powers to fight the aliens. I love how this show encourages you to take care of your environment as well as entertain you. With the reboot now on the air I wanted to give my personal twist to the 5 main characters.
Zakuro is the fifth and final member of Tokyo Mew Mew. She was infused with the DNA of a grey wolf. She is the oldest member of Tokyo Mew Mew so she naturally plays a big sister role in the group. She's known as a famous model and actress in Tokyo and Mint is her biggest fan. She's naturally aloof and didn't want to join the group at first, but she warmed up to the team and came around.
